Who, Need, What

Hey all – Maren here. I just wanted to give a quick little overview about our class and what it’s actually going to involve.

First, who the heck can come? YOU! Yes, we’ve marketed towards moms because let’s be honest, Mama’s Gonna Snap is a pretty funny name. However, if you’re a mom or a dad or someone who hopes to be a mom or a dad someday or just someone who likes to take pictures... this class is for you!

Now, do you need a DSLR to take the class? Neeeed? No. But, we’re recommending that you do have one simply because we’re going to teach you how to use it. Most people drop a pretty penny on a “fancy” camera and then leave that puppy on auto. There are a gazillion cool things you can do with that cool camera, but auto ain’t gonna let ya. So, we’re going to teach you how! We’ll also go over the confusing parts about your camera and help you understand them. Hey, I’m a teacher... I can make anything fun.

So, what will you learn? You are going to learn how to work that cool, fancy camera. You are going to understand what it does and how it does it. You are going to learn what you need to do in order to take pictures that you will love. It’s that simple. And it’s going to rock!

I’m starting to geek out over this class because two of my very biggest passions – photography & teaching – are coming together. It’s going to be so fun & you’re going to learn so much.

Some of our favorite photos of our kids are the ones where nothing special was happening. We just happened to have our camera close by to capture their littleness. Learning how to use your camera will help you capture some incredible photos of your littles no matter what setting.

Our models have been chosen!

We are so excited to announce that we have selected 4 DARLING models for you Mamas to practice your skills on! In addition to having cute models, we also have the amazing privilege of working with some really awesome vendors who are donating different apparel for our kiddos to model!

A & M

First Mama's Gonna Snap Class!

We are super excited to announce our first MAMA'S GONNA SNAP Photography class! If you are in the Northern Colorado area, you have a DSLR camera & want to rock photos of your littles, then this is the class for you. This is a beginner class, so don't feel intimidated! Maren & I are super goofy & dorky, and, literally, just wanna have fun & teach you basic camera stuff while eating yummy snacks. We are still deciding on a location, but we wanted to give you plenty of time to plan for this awesome class! 

We'll be working on a guidebook over the coming weeks for each of you to take home. After we learn about camera settings, we'll be taking you out to shoot! We are looking for a boy AND a girl between the ages of 5 & 10 to model for us. This will be a great opportunity to practice & ask a million questions!
